We got tired of the commission trap.
In 2024, a gym owner in Nagpur was paying ₹4,000/month in commission to a platform just to take bookings online. We thought — this is broken.
SlotPe started with a simple question: why do Indian service businesses — the physiotherapist in Surat, the yoga instructor in Bangalore, the dental clinic in Lucknow — pay commission to take their own appointments online?
Most booking platforms charge a percentage of every booking. For a clinic seeing 30 clients a day at ₹500 each, that's ₹4,50,000/month flowing through the platform — with a cut taken at every transaction. Even "free" platforms recover their cost by taking a slice of your revenue.
We built SlotPe on a different model: a free forever plan that genuinely costs nothing, and a ₹299/month Professional plan that pays for development, SMS delivery, and ongoing support. No commission. No transaction fees. No surprises.
Who we are
We're a small team building software in India, for Indian businesses. We use the product ourselves — our families run clinics, coaching centres, and service businesses. We know what it's like to manage a calendar on a WhatsApp thread, chase payments over three days, and send the same reminder six times before an appointment.
SlotPe exists because we wanted something better for them — and for the thousands of businesses like them across the country.
What we believe
- ✓Zero commission is the right model. Your revenue belongs to you. Platforms shouldn't profit from your bookings.
- ✓Setup should take 10 minutes, not 10 hours. If our software requires a manual to use, we've failed.
- ✓Indian businesses have unique needs. UPI payments, WhatsApp reminders, Hindi/English support — we build for India first.
- ✓Small businesses deserve good software. The tools that work for enterprises should be available to the solo practitioner.
The team
Right now, we're a small team of engineers and designers building SlotPe full-time. We're based in India, we respond to support requests personally, and we ship changes based on what businesses actually ask for — not what enterprise sales teams demand.
We'll share more as we grow. For now, the best way to know us is to try the product. Create your booking page, take your first appointment, and decide for yourself.
